Se i Wishbone Ash sono stati in giro per il mondo l’apertura ai Deep Purple, Who, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Springsteen contando più di 20 album, un motivo doveva pur esserci ed è presto detto: sono strepitosi.
Siamo andati a conoscerli nell’unica data toscana, al FAQ di Grosseto, e i loro ritmi ci hanno regalato un viaggio negli anni ’70.
Due ore di rock, vero rock, fatto dalla voce e dagli accordi di Andy Powell, Muddy Manninen, Bob Seat e Joe Crabtree, passando per “The power of eternity” e “Deep blues”, procedendo con “Heavy weather” fino alle più acclamate “Rock ’n roll widow” e “Phoenix”.
Un pubblico prevalentemente maturo quello degli Wishbone Ash al Faq, ma non è mancato qualche giovane incuriosito dalla loro storia cui è bastato veramente poco per diventare un loro nuovo fan.

If Wishbone Ash have been around the world as opening act for Deep Purple, Who, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Springsteen, with more than 20 original studio recordings and several live albums to their credit, there should be a reason: they are sensational indeed. We got to know them during their unique tour in Tuscany, at Faq of Grosseto, and their rhythms took us directly to the 70s. Two hours of rock, pure rock, with the voice and the instruments of of Andy Powell, Muddy Manninen, Bob Skeat and Joe Crabtree, spacing among “The power of eternity”, “Deep blues” and “Heavy weather” towards the most acclaimed as “Rock ’n roll widow” and “Phoenix”.
There was a predominantly mature audience for Wishbone Ash at Faq, but there were also some young guys intrigued by their story, who soon have become their new fans.
