“Montage Of Heck” è l’insolito “mixtape” di Kurt Cobain realizzato nel 1988, un anno prima del rilascio di Bleach. Il mixtape è stato registrato con un registratore a cassette a quattro piste e contiene suoni provenienti da una vasta e bizzarra collezione di dischi di Kurt Cobain, registrazioni manipolate della radio, elementi di alcuni demo dei Nirvana, e suoni creati o registrati da Cobain stesso. Esistono due versioni di Montage Of Heck, una di circa 36 minuti e una di otto.
