I TaxiWars scelgono il Karemaski di Arezzo per l’unica data italiana del tour di presentazione del disco omonimo, uscito lo scorso anno. Tom Barman – già frontman dei dEUS – non si risparmia per i fan che sono venuti a vederlo, ma lascia spazio anche agli altri membri della band: primo su tutti Robin Verheyen con il suo sassofono esplosivo. L’unione di questi ottimi musicisti dà vita ad una potente esibizione, che si concentra sull’ultimo album – a partire dalla bellissima “Death ride through wet snow” – ma lascia ampio spazio anche all’improvvisazione. In fondo in fondo, non è il Jazz stesso improvvisazione?

TaxiWars chose Karemaski Club in Arezzo for their unique Italian tour date, to promote their new self-titled album, issued last year. Tom Barman – known to be the frontman of dEUS – does his best effort to please the fans who came here to see him, but leaves some space to the other members of the band too: Robin Verheyen and his explosive sax above all. The ensemble of these excellent musicians is rendered through a powerful exhibition, which has its focus on the last album – starting from the amazing “Death ride through wet snow” – but leaves wide space to improvisation too. After all, jazz itself is all about improvisation, isn’t it?
